Pour-your-own party at New York-New York

Pour your own beer at New York-New York’s Nine Fine Irishmen.

Some people wave, some shout, some whistle, some wink. However you get the bartender's attention, chances are, as the bar fills up your success rate bottoms out. The bartender gets busy; you get thirsty; cold beer sits unpoured. Really, it's tragic.

The folks at New York-New York's Nine Fine Irishmen understand that sometimes you just want to take matters into your own hands.

At the Irish pub's new DraftMaster table you can do just that, literally. The table, which seats six guests, features a "pull-your-own-pint" system, essentially your very own tap from which you can pull Guinness or Harp to your heart's — or your credit card's — content. Guests run a tab and keep track of how much they drink through an LCD monitoring system that will never get distracted by the hottie angling for free shots. Drink up, and save your waves and whistles for the guests at the next table.
