Former "Fantasy" and "Baywatch" star Angelica Bridges has been chosen for the new Las Vegas Lingerie Football League team. Vegas DeLuxe exclusively learned that the sexy redheaded Strawberry Blonde singer and dancer has officially "made the cut," according to executives with the new team.
Vegas DeLuxe reported last week that Angelica was trying out for the Las Vegas team. The team will be introduced, along with the unveiling of its official name, on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 6) at the Thomas & Mack Arena.
The halftime Lingerie Bowl special will be played live in Las Vegas and broadcast worldwide to millions of viewers featuring celebrity hosts, recording stars, NFL greats and of course the 7-on-7 full-contact tackle-football game played by America's most beautiful and athletic women from the league's current lineup of teams, including new expansion teams in Orlando and Baltimore.
The new Las Vegas team will begin play next fall, when additional expansion teams in Houston, Phoenix, Buffalo, Vancouver, Toronto, New Orleans, New Jersey/New York, Boston and Charlotte will be added. Leagues also are being licensed in Europe and Asia for 2012 and 2013.
In addition to the Thomas & Mack Lingerie Bowl on Super Bowl Sunday, there will be a weeklong series of activities, including a black-tie awards dinner, a celebrity golf tournament and tailgate parties. League officials say that the new Las Vegas team players will start making promotional appearances this winter, and there will be additional tryouts in the spring, before summer practice gets underway.
Players from the current Los Angeles Temptations, Philadelphia Passion, Baltimore Charm, Orlando Fantasy, Dallas Desire, Chicago Bliss, Tampa Breeze and Miami Caliente will be in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl Sunday Lingerie Bowl.
