Welcome to Fabulous Camp Vegas

Mayor Oscar Goodman unveils the new Welcome to Fabulous Camp Vegas sign on April 29, 2010. Launch slideshow »

Peepshow blonde bombshell and star Holly Madison and “Mr. Las Vegas” Wayne Newton were part of today’s 8 a.m. event that declared an early start to summer in Las Vegas. The Planet Hollywood headliner and recent Tropicana headliner, respectively, helped Las Vegas and Clark County officials unveil a change to the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, the first in the iconic sign’s 51-year history on the Strip.

As parts of Las Vegas Boulevard were closed, the sign was officially altered to Welcome to Fabulous Camp Vegas as part of today’s early start to summer proclamation by Mayor Oscar Goodman and the launch of a new marketing campaign positioning Las Vegas summer camp for adults.

Showgirls from Jubilee! at Bally's and bikini-clad skydivers also took part in this morning’s presentation.
