Metro Police are asking for the public's help in finding a woman last seen Thursday afternoon at her home in the south Las Vegas Valley.

Police said Billie Jean James, 67, left her purse, wallet, cell phone and vehicle behind and is believed to be on foot. She was last seen at about 1 p.m. Thursday and was wearing a sun dress of an unknown color, police said.

Authorities said James suffered a stroke about three months ago, which temporarily caused her to have memory problems. She recovered from the stroke, but police said it is feared James might have suffered another stroke and might have additional memory problems.

James is described as 5-feet-8-inches tall and 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. Anyone with information concerning her whereabouts is being asked to contact Metro's Missing Persons Section at 828-3111.
