Annual food and wine festival Vegas Uncork'd will hit the Strip May 6-9, bringing with it a bounty of celebrity-chef-hosted events sure to leave foodies, well, thirsty. Good thing the weekend includes cocktail and wine outings where the drinks take center stage. If you want to raise a glass, head to VegasUncorked.com for tickets before these saucy affairs sell out.

Shinkansen to Shibuya Take a high-speed trip to Tokyo at Shibuya, where you can taste your way through the sake cellar and sample snacks at food stalls set up in the restaurant. 10:30 p.m., May 6, Shibuya at MGM Grand, $80.

Cocktails and Cuisine: Salute! A Taste of Italy Explore the art of mixology at this cocktail tour hosted by Wynn mixologist Patricia Richards and local expert Tony Abou-Ganim. Food prepared by Wynn chefs James Benson and Sinatra's Theo Schoenegger. 7:30 p..m, May 7, Encore, $150.

Crushed: Wine that Rocks At this poolside party, restaurateur and winemaker Joe Bastianich will lead guests through an aural wine pairing that matches the sounds of a live band to an array of pours. Complementary food will be provided by Carnevino, First Food and Bar and Lagasse's Stadium. 10:30 p.m., May 8, Pool at the Palazzo, $115.
