The University of Southern Nevada is proud to sponsor the In Business Las Vegas 2010 “Health Care Headliners.” USN is honored to be part of this great event recognizing the many people and organizations that have contributed to the high quality and accessibility of health care in our community.
There is no doubt that health care is critical to the quality of life of each and every resident of the Southern Nevada. The health care professionals and advocates recognized this year have demonstrated true passion and commitment for the care of others.
As we celebrate our “Health Care Headliners,” the University of Southern Nevada is proud of its role as a transforming force in health care education. The university has grown tremendously since establishing in Henderson the first and only College of Pharmacy in Nevada. Today, with the addition of a College of Nursing, College of Dental Medicine and an MBA program, the university enrolls hundreds of ambitious and high-achieving students from Nevada, the surrounding region, across the country and around the world. It is these students, along with our nationally recognized faculty, that enhance the quality of education received at the University of Southern Nevada and prepare our graduating health care professionals to deliver high-quality and compassionate care to individuals in need.
As our population continues to age, with more people requiring access to health care, and as new advancements in medicines are achieved, new generations of health care professionals will be in demand. The University of Southern Nevada is proud to play a role in attracting and educating tomorrow’s health care professionals. Likewise, today’s “Health Care Headliners” serve as an inspiration to individuals of all ages who are considering an admirable career in health care.
