The man arrested in connection with a January police chase has been indicted by a grand jury on 20 felony counts related to the pursuit and a string of thefts from vehicles in the days before the chase that ended at the Suncoast casino parking garage.

Jason James Dillinger, 33, is facing multiple charges including burglary, grand larceny, possession of stolen property, possession of a firearm by an ex-felon, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a stolen vehicle and failure to stop on signal of a police officer.

He’s also facing several charges of possession of a credit or debit card without the cardholder’s consent.

The Jan. 26 chase led Metro Police -- and several TV news helicopters -- through the Las Vegas Valley on highways and residential streets.

Dillinger was arrested along with Ashley Ann Shaheen, 27, in an elevator at the Suncoast. The chase, which started shortly before 6 a.m., lasted about an hour.

After taking the duo into custody, police found numerous credit cards and other property that had been reported stolen by several people inside a white Toyota Scion, which was reported stolen by Findlay Honda, authorities said.

Shaheen, the passenger, earlier this month pleaded guilty to attempted burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle, both felonies, and conspiracy failure to stop on signal of a police officer, a gross misdemeanor. She was released on her own recognizance and is set to return to court for sentencing in July.

Dillinger had a bench warrant out for his arrest at the time of the chase and was sentenced earlier this month to a maximum of six years in connection with a separate chase that happened in June in the northwest valley.

Court records indicate he pleaded guilty to the charges against him in August but failed to return to court for sentencing, so a bench warrant was issued.

In addition being sentenced to a six-year maximum on the previous and the pending case for which he was indicted this week, Dillinger is being held in the Clark County Detention Center after being sentenced in January for unrelated drug charges, jail records show.
