Stumble2 injured in head-on crash on Rainbow Boulevard

Two people were seriously injured Friday night when a car headed in the wrong direction on South Rainbow Boulevard collided head-on with another car, Metro Police said.
The drivers of both cars were taken to University Medical Center with serious to critical injuries, police said.
The crash happened about 6:45 p.m. just south of West Cougar Avenue. Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate a P.T. Cruiser driven by Daniel Hernandez-Plascenca, 26, of Henderson was headed north in the southbound lanes of Rainbow when it hit a Honda Accord, police said.
Hernandez-Plascenca suffered serious injuries, police said.
The other driver, Carlos Alcantara, 28, of Las Vegas suffered critical injuries, police said.
The crash is under investigation by Metro’s Accident Investigation Section.

Mike123: Police did not provide that information as part of their initial release. But I would not make the assumption that anybody with a Hispanic-sounding name is in the U.S. illegally.

It is such a shame that people are so inconsiderate and racist. If possible, let me shed a little bit of knowledge in those tiny ignorant little brains. Carlos Alcantara, whom was seriously injured and is fighting for his life, IS LEGAL, and has spent the last ten years proudly serving his country in the NAVY. He had just left school, was sober, and on his way to pick up his two young daughters when the other idiot slammed into him. Please be more considerate and get the facts right before you speak and make ignorant assumptions that make you sound REALLY STUPID.

One of which may be a friend of mine, who is LEGAL, I'm still trying to find out if it is him. So please for the sake of the family stop.
Some of the most uneducated and ignorant people I know are caucasion, everything that comes out of thier mouth is hate based on the color of ones skin or thier last name. It's a car wreck period. It wasn't two illegals robbing a bank and running from the police and crashing. I would almost bet that the ones making the off color comments have a very limited education and are just showing off thier lack of the same.
Driving in Vegas has become a nightmare. No turn signals are used. When you actually do use your signal, no one lets you over. Its some kind of game to people here.
I drive narly 30k mile per year here. I see alot of "challenged" drivers.
With all the new police on the roads, where are they hanging out?
Hiding to catch people? that does not help. The police should make themselves more visible on the roads.
