Glen Slack Smith, 83, of Henderson, passed away at home Sept. 26.

He was born Oct. 6, 1925, in Cedar City, Utah, and was a 58-year resident of Nevada. Glen was a retired plumber and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Glen was a member of the LDS Church.

Glen is survived by his wife of 59 years, Katherine Smith; daughters, Cheryl (Jerry) Horne, Kathleen (Bill) Oakley and Kimberlee Carducci; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters Ione Manning and Phyllis Sutton, both of Las Vegas.

Services will be at noon Oct. 1 at Desert Rose Chapel, 567 Pacific Ave., Henderson.

La Paloma Funeral Services handled the arrangements.
