Boy, 17, shot in park in suspected gang shooting

A 17-year-old boy was shot and suffered non-life threatening injuries as he left a park with a friend about 9:33 p.m. Monday, Metro Police said.
Metro officers responded to Circle Park near Concord Street and Bartlett Avenue and found the boy, police spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said. He was taken to University Medical Center for treatment.
There is no one in custody at this time, Morgan said. Police believe the shooting was gang-related.
