VEGAS.com, GuestLogix sign deal for in-flight ticket sales

Fri, Sep 25, 2009 (3 a.m.)

An event-ticketing company that operates an in-flight box office on a hand-held device has signed an exclusive multiyear agreement with VEGAS.com.

Toronto-based GuestLogix will sell tickets to Las Vegas events, tours and attractions with its OnTouch merchandising platform on flights to the city.

VEGAS.com, a travel Web site that sells air travel, hotel rooms and tickets to local attractions, is owned by the Greenspun family and is a sister company of In Business Las Vegas.

“We are thrilled to partner with GuestLogix for this innovative way to save people time and get more out of their trip before they even touch down,” Howard Lefkowitz, president and CEO of VEGAS.com, said in a statement.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. GuestLogix estimates that ticket sales for attractions worldwide could generate $550 billion.
