flashpoint:
When Harry Reid gets mad, the Democratic Party gets even

When Harry Reid gets mad, the Democratic Party gets even. So when Gov. Jim Gibbons took credit for $45 million in maglev funding Reid had obtained, and then implied the project Reid has abandoned was going forward, the party put out a scathing release. The headline, “Gibbons: Quick to grandstand, slow to spend stimulus,” referred to Nevada’s putrid ranking (46th) for speed of stimulus spending. Earlier, Reid had a spokesman pummel Gibbons (“Another example of Gov. Gibbons picking political fights and misleading Nevadans … to distract from his own failed leadership.”) And Gibbons needled Reid (“I am mystified ... that he is standing in the way of a project that will help working families.”) I wonder what’s next. A train, perhaps?
