Two people died and one was injured Friday morning in a head-on crash in Pahrump about 60 miles west of Las Vegas, Sgt. Kevin Honea of the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
The crash occurred about 11 a.m. Friday on State Route 160, Honea said.
Both travel lanes have been shut down but motorists are being diverted to Irene Street for northbound traffic and to Mesquite Road for southbound traffic, Honea said.
Two people in a Honda Civic were pronounced dead at the scene, Honea said. Another person in Pontiac minivan is being airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
No identities have been released at this time.
