Body found in desert area in eastern valley

A man called police this afternoon to report a dead body in a desert area in the eastern part of the Las Vegas Valley.
Homicide detectives responded at 2:52 p.m. to an area east of Los Feliz Street between Bonanza Road and Washington Avenue, Metro Police Officer Barbara Morgan said.
Police are investigating the death as a homicide, Morgan said.
