Fatal shooting
Metro Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man early this morning in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.
Officers responded to a report at about 12:13 a.m. Wednesday of shots fired at 3750 S. Arville St. and found a man dead from what appeared to be several gunshot wounds.
The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the man as 31-year-old Ovarius P. Everson of Las Vegas. He died of a gunshot wound to the chest and the coroner determined it was a homicide, a spokeswoman for the coroner's office said.
Metro's homicide detectives said they are searching for several men in their mid 20s who were wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 to remain anonymous, or the Metro Police Homicide Section at (702) 828-3521.
