Margaret H. Montoya, 92, died Sept. 13 at a local hospital.
Montoya was born in Montrose, Colo., on Feb. 1, 1917. She came to Henderson in 1972.
She was active in the Eucharistic Ministry at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and participated in classes at the Valley View Recreation Center.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald Montoya of Henderson and Rudy Montoya of Las Vegas; daughters Georgia Lloyd of Henderson, Priscilla Goodman of Woodruff, Ariz., and Carolyn Tonemah of Henderson; brothers Raymond Herrera of North Las Vegas and Bernie Herrera, of Eureka, Calif.; 14 grandchild, 28 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Sept. 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Palm Mortuary in Henderson. Services will be held at Palm Mortuary on Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. and at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Sept. 18 at 10 a.m.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Maria Montoya Medical Trust Fund Account, Bank of America, 1417 Red Sunset Ave., Henderson, NV, 89015, (702) 464-8440.
