Arthur P. Hoffmeyer, 88, of Boulder City passed away Sept. 8.
He was born in New York City on September 28, 1920.
He joined the Army in 1942 and served as a forward observer in The Cannon Co., 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd (Indianhead) Infantry Division, in France, where he was wounded. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anna; sons, Carl Hoffmeyer (wife Natalie) and Eric Hoffmeyer (wife Bridget); and grandson, Mark Hoffmeyer.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Henderson on Sept. 15. Burial at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City followed the service.
Boulder City Family Mortuary handled the arrangements.
