Man thrown from motorcycle, seriously injured

A motorcyclist was seriously injured Tuesday when he hit the median on Craig Road, east of Flossmoor Street, and was thrown from his bike, Metro Police said.
The man, Larry Romero, 46, of Las Vegas, was taken to University Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
He was headed west on Craig Road, in the left lane, about 7:20 p.m. when his 2005 Honda veered to the left and hit the median, police said.
Romero was thrown from the motorcycle, which went across the westbound lanes and jumped the sidewalk, police said.
Nobody else was injured. The crash remains under investigaiton, police said.
