Whiners, crybabies found in both parties

LaRue S. Boenig’s letter to the editor in Thursday’s Las Vegas Sun said: “It (the Republican Party) has become a party of crybabies, whiners, and name-callers. Never have I ever, in all my years, experienced such meanness and hatefulness toward a president of the United States who, by all common sense, deserves our respect.”
Apparently Ms. Boenig has forgotten how Richard Nixon was taunted, mocked, hated and vilified. Admittedly, he brought a lot of it upon himself because of Watergate. But, he also deserved a lot of credit for many of his accomplishments. Certainly, in my lifetime, he was the most knowledgeable of all presidents concerning foreign affairs.
Neither party has a monopoly on crybabies, whiners and name-callers. Our own senator, Harry Reid, called George W. Bush a liar regarding Yucca Mountain, among other things.
Politics, by the nature of the beast, often results in nasty and hateful events and name-calling.
Now, having said that, I think it is shameful that many of our students were not allowed to hear the words of encouragement by our president. This is censorship at its worst.

Obama is a liar. A pathetic serial liar. He has lied more in nine months than Bush did in eight years. Thank you Joe Wilson for standing up and being honest about this vile, evil man.

Remember "Iraq has WMD," "nobody in my administration leaked the CIA agents name," "we do not torture," "there are no secret CIA interrogation sites," "Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa," "Saddam Hussein aids and protects terrorists, including members of Al Qaeda," "we are not entering a recession." The lies are endless from day one 2001.
So please, some specifics on Obama's "lies".

If students want/needs encouragement then the President's speech was available on numerous sites for anyone to watch/listen to if they desire.
School classrooms are no place for politicians or religious leaders...
Obama knows damned well that some corrupt federal judge will delcare that illegals must be covered by healthcare. What Obama said is a lie. Obama said he would never raise taxes on the middle and lower classes. One of his first acts was to raise cigarette taxes to pay for the bratcare medical program. Who smokes? lower income people. moved weapons into Syria before we invaded. There are satellite photos of a massive caravan of trucks moving into Syria before we invaded. We sure gave plenty of warning. We also know that Sadam gassed about 50,000 kurds using what? Weapons of mass destruction. The US forces found a number of factories and laboratories in Iraq, the remains of which indicated that they were working on WMD's. It is unfortunate we gave them time to remove all the evidence but it was there. We also found several jet arcraft buried in the sand which were equipted to carry WMD's.
By the Valerie Plame was not a CIA agent, she was a high level clerk assigned to a desk job.
I don't see much of anything Obama's has accomplished to date. People are realizing what an illiterate fool he his. His polls have been dropping like a rock. The only supporters he has left are a few hard core socialists who are too dumb to know any better.

And it was not a "bunch of commies on bikes" that broke down the gates at the "Imperial Palace" in Saigon after the U.S. pullout. It was a Russian made T-54 tank...

The North Vietnames have admitted that they lost in the neighborhood of ONE MILLION "freedom fighters" while the US lost about 55,000 service men ... that makes North Viet Nam a winner?
The fact is that the US had/has the weapons to win any war that they engage in ... all they lack is the resolve and the leadership to utilize this advantage... getting down in the dirt and fighting your enemy by limiting your soldiers to using the enemies outdated technology isn't using common sense ...modern warfare isn't like fighting a duel where your adversary gets to pick the weapons.... showing the enemy that they can be eliminated without the loss of a single soldier on your side worked with Japan and ended WW2 .... it would work with Sweden also.
