Death investigation

Metro Police said a housekeeper found two people in their mid-20s dead this afternoon in an apparent murder-suicide in the south Las Vegas Valley.

Homicide detectives arrived at 1292 Sun Village Ave. about 1 p.m., police said. That location is east of Maryland Parkway and north of St. Rose Parkway.

Police Sgt. William Scott said a woman was found shot to death on a couch downstairs, then a man was found dead upstairs.

The shooting likely happened late Friday or early Saturday, police said.

A housekeeper told police that one person was bleeding from the head.

  1. hey, hey!

keep this stuff up there in north las vegas.

  2. This didn't happen in North Las Vegas. Looks like Henderson according to the map

  3. @ stevem and Det_Munch: If the news story mentions Metro, odds are that the incident happened in the city or the county, and not North Las Vegas or Henderson. Just a tip.

Let me venture a guess--the male killed the female before turning the gun (?) on himself.
A note to you murderous men: Stop killing your women--they have loved you through thick and thin. And also, stop thinking that they can't live without you...because they can. They have been through alot and they have toughened themselves along the way, thanks or no thanks to you.
If you want to end your life, go ahead...but stop killing your spouse/girlfriend first. You are NOT doing her any favors; you are not saving her from anything she can't handle. She's lived with you for any number of years. Don't underestimate her ability to survive and possibly thrive. Let her enjoy just a bit of her life, you egotistical, misguided freaks. If you still love her, or if you have ever loved her, you will set her free from your torment and your problems. Please, let her have just a little happiness. She deserves it and she's earned it.

  4. Vegasucks
The map indicates this happend in southeastern part of the valley and the area could still be Las Vegas but very near Henderson. right south of where this happened is the Henderson airport.

BTW - here's a tip for you - Metro assists ALL municipalities out here if necessary.

  5. Scenario just happens to fit crimes committed in North town or areas like it. Tragic, either way.

  6. Tragic, I'm afraid with the economic stress in our society today this will be a growing trend valley wide.

  7. I wonder if they will discount the house due to the deaths being there?

  8. Comment removed by staff.

  9. Vegas has had a couple of these within the last 2 weeks.
    I agree with magoo61:
Can probably expect a few more in the near future....

  10. Only in their twenties and one, or both of them decided life wasn't worth it??? Sheeeshhhh...

So how long, folks, before the sleazy national news media picks up on the theme that "murder-suicide" is the lastest rage in Sin City??? Double sheeeshhhh.

  11. If there's humor in this sad event, I don't get it! Do you really wan't the double murder discount? Hey death whore, Show a little class! VegasSucks,I agree with you that anybody who want's to commit the ultimate sin should not take the lives of others just because they can! But then agaain,A coward never want's to go alone.

  12. A selfish act, when help is available.

  13. Some of the above comments are very insensitive. Some people need to get a life!

  14. Very sad. And to the person that said "murder-suicide" is a growing trend in Sin City... watch national news. It's a growing trend across the country. Stop trying to make Vegas sound so horrible. This stuff is happening every where. There was a murder-suicide in my hometown a couple months ago. It doesn't make that area a bad place though.

If you don't like Las Vegas, pack your crap up and leave.

  15. JSpence,
Point your finger in your own eye. My critique was about NOT about Las Vegas, it was about dreading how the national media will inevitably see a "story" in this and run with it.

That said, there was "a" murder suicide in your hometown, so now you think you have a point? Sweetheart, we've had THREE of these in this past week! Develop some perspective, learn to read what it is I actually posted, then get back to me.

  16. were gonna miss you saraha you did so much and helped so many people you we so unselfish we will be praying for you we are truly going to miss you this world lost a angel

  17. At least this guy got it done unlike the last fellow that only finished the job 50%.

  18. I have a house in this neighborhood...very sad.

  19. I would like to say that I also live in this neighborhood and what happened was very sad. They people were very nice and there was never any problems. I dont know exactly what happened but whatever the cause was let them both rest in peace.
