Opal A. Markiewicz, 77, died Sept. 2 at a local long-term care facility.
A Henderson resident for 11 years, she was born June 23, 1932, in Neosho, Mo. She was a retired claims representative for the U.S. government.
She is survived by her husband, George, of Henderson; children Deborah Markiewicz and Michael Markiewicz of Waukesha, Wis., and Peter Markiewicz of Glendale, Calif.; and brother Jack Dobson of Checotah, Okla.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 11 at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
