StumbleMan dies from injuries in North Las Vegas shooting

North Las Vegas Police are looking for a gunman who opened fire on a 19-year-old man early Saturday. Police said late Sunday afternoon the man had died from his injuries.
Authorities responded at 6:45 a.m. Saturday to the report of a shooting at 2601 Harewood Ave., which is south of Cheyenne Avenue and east of Civic Center Drive. Officers arrived to find Julian Roman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
North Las Vegas Police said the gunman knocked on the front door of the home, then began firing when Roman opened the door. The man left the scene and no arrests have been made.
Roman was listed in critical condition at University Medical Center late Saturday, but later died from his injuries, North Las Vegas Police said Sunday.
Police are asking anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 385-5555.

It seems that down there in Las Vegas your chances of either you getting shot or run over bye a car are pretty good, Your city is out of control.
I guess that is why i live up north and not there.

Drillmaker, Las Vegas needs a Mayor that cares about Las Vegas and it's people. When I lived in New York, I do believe Rudy G. Would have walked down 5th Avenue naked for the good of the City. I am not knocking the present Mayor, but Las Vegas is not all about pleasing tourists. People live here,Promote Las vegas,enforce the rules.Give the police to do their job. From littering, to bad,no awful driving.You can't have freedom with out strict rules.

drillmaker is one of the northern Nevadans that look down their nose at Las Vegas, but could not survive without the tax revenue that is taken from here and spread throughout this backwards state. Are you the governor?
The guy knocked on the door of the other person and shot him. This was to settle a personnal matter and could happen in any town or community in the nation. More police would detour this element of society from your city but would not eliminate it completely.

Our sincere condolences to Julian's family and friends. He was a man handling his business and not the kind the previous posters have referred too. He was an innocent man just answering his door. He was a good soul that took care of his kids and loved his family. The community has suffered a great loss and his family even a greater one. Yogi, I am sorry for the loss that you and your family have suffered.

For all those who didnt know Julian you shouldnt say anything. Julian was a great guy..he was a friend/ co worker. when i got the news at 130am sunday I cryed . I kept saying you have the wrong Julian. It cant be true. but it was true.. I cryed my eyes out when the 5 o clock news came on and said he had pasted away. He was a friend,father,son,and loved one, He didnt deserves this just to open up his front door and be shot for NO!! reason.. I hope this gunman is found and put in jail. Im sitting at work and knowing he isnt here puts me in tears nothing will be the same ..The last time i saw him was on monday august 31st. I give out my thoughts and love to his family and kids.

I live in the same neighborhood where this shooting happened. It was a shock to the whole neighborhood. Shooting are not common here. You people just think they are. Loosing a fellow neighbor hit us all. He was a good person. I grew up with his girlfriend. He did no harm to the neighborhood. I always seen him with his kids outside playing.
Its not a bad place. Just because yes, its not as fancy as other parts of Vegas but dont judge North Las Vegas if you never lived here before because little do you know great people live here. So who are you to judge? NO ONE exactly.

Jess09, I know how bad it hit you guys he was my friend/ co worker... i miss him so much..he was such a great guy..did nothing wrong, he was soo quite never said anything. the last thing i say to him was by "J" see you tommorrow .. we called him "J" at work cause there was sooo many julians there .. there is not a day that goes by were i dont think of him.. this tuesday that just passed i went to work and i cryed ..work wasnt the same.. and LUNASHEART your right NLV has nothing to do with anything you can be anywhere in this world and something bad will still happen..

I moved here to North Las Vegas 20 Years ago, when the the first person asked where I lived I told them MLK and Gowan.... With a gasp they said move from there it is full of crime and and black people. well I will tell you all we have a Great time raising are are two kids, they are both in UNLV.... I have seen more crime else where then North Las Vegas so give it up..... and for the family that lost there son I am very sorry God bless you and God Bless him ... The Police will find the Sons_of_Bit#h and then they will will get there justice a needle in the arm... Sorry for your loss
