Video released in fatal shooting of Pahrump store clerk

Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 | 5:12 p.m.

The Nye County Sheriff's Office released a video today of the robbery and shooting death of a gas station clerk in Pahrump last year as a search for the gunman continues.

Sheriff's deputies are looking for Jaime Albarran, a Hispanic man who is 5-foot-6-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Albarran is allegedly seen on videotape on Dec. 28, 2008, entering a gas station at Mesquite Street and State Route 160 in Pahrump. The gunman walks up to the clerk behind the counter, and moments later shoots Valentyna Kram with a handgun, sheriff's deputies said.

Anyone with information about Albarran can contact local law enforcement authorities or the Nye County Sheriff's Office at (775) 751-7000.

The Nye County Sheriff's Office said Albarran should be considered armed and dangerous.
