Letter to the editor:

Tele-town hall made for orderly discussion

Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 | 2:02 a.m.

Friday I had the privilege of participating in my first tele-town hall, provided by Sen. Harry Reid on health insurance reform.

In just over an hour, Sen. Reid answered about 15 questions from Nevadans with varied points of view.

It was a pleasure to listen to questions and answers in an orderly discussion, in sharp comparison to town-hall meetings I have seen on television.

Sen. Reid was respectful, knowledgeable and thorough in his answers. I hope this technology is used more in the future because it allows one to participate easily, ask questions, and get quick, clear answers.

I am proud to have Harry Reid representing me in the U.S. Senate. Thanks again, Harry. Now give ’em health care!
