Brace yourself, Las Vegas: You’re in for an action-packed Halloween weekend full of zombie rockers, dysfunctional duos and sexy-but-still-ghoulish famous girls.
Actor Dan Aykroyd will get things started this afternoon as his personal brand of vodka, Monster Head, hosts a Halloween happy hour at Binion’s. The bar staff will start serving up Aykroyd’d signature skull-shaped bottles of vodka at 3 p.m. in Benny’s Bullpen.
In addition to the actor-turned-vodka-czar, DJs Scotty Boy, Richie Rich and Big Daddy Carlos will all be there.
The Halloween weekend will continue later tonight as Rob Zombie follows up last night’s Pucifier show at the Palms with a show of his own at the Pearl.
It will be three consecutive nights of monster-infused metal at the venue.
Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle), kicked things off on Thursday when he and his bandmates launched Puscifer’s current tour but Slipknot will keep things going and give yet another follow-up performance tomorrow night at – you guessed it – the Pearl.
Also performing tonight will be Mickey Avalon, who returns to Cherry at Red Rock Resort for the Fangbangers Ball.
And while they’re not scary, per se, the comedians on the marquee at the Mirage and Mandalay Bay are funny: Jay Leno is set to perform his stand-up inside the Terry Fator Theatre tonight and Saturday while Kathy Griffin will take to the stage at Mandalay Bay this evening.
Also at Mandalay Bay tonight is Canada's famously-not-famous-outside-of-the-Great White-North rockers, The Tragically Hip. The group will play House of Blues.
Also performing tonight is throwback pop-rap sensation Vanilla Ice, who will give a special birthday concert at Studio 54 at MGM Grand.
And finally, “Sorority Row” cutie Briana Evigan will celebrate her belated birthday at Lavo. (The actress turned 23 on Oct. 23.)
Also celebrating a birthday this weekend is ”90210” second generation actress AnnaLynne McCord, who will host her sister’s 21st birthday tomorrow at Tabu.
“Peepshow” starlet Holly Madison will also be at MGM Grand on Saturday and will host a special and sure-to-be-sexy Halloween party at Studio 54.
Meanwhile, the bloodsucking cast of “Twilight” will host a Halloween party of their own at the Venetian. Co-stars Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz will be on hand to host the vampires-only costume party at Tao.
Another bloodbath will go down next door, at the Palazzo, as “True Blood” costars Sam Trammell and Rutina Wesley host Veuve Cliquot’s other party of the night, at Lavo.
And while her movies are better known for being sexy than spooky, Vivid's very own XXX screen queen, Nikki Jayne, will host a Halloween party of sorts on Satuday at Privé. The adult actress will be o hand at the Planet Hollywood hotspot to host Vivid’s Pornstar Ball.
As the X-rated fun gets underway on the mezzanine level, Jerry Springer will be just a few scandalous steps from the PH casino floor, at Hawaiian Tropic Zone, where he will both host what’s being billed as a "Dysfunctional Halloween Bash" and judge the costume contest. (Cash prizes will go to the sexiest costume as well as the most dysfunctional duo.)
Also judging a costume contest tomorrow will be one of "The Two Coreys," Corey Haim. He will host the spooky party (and judge the costume contest) at VooDoo lounge at the Rio.
Meanwhile, Nikki Hilton will host at Pure while DJ Kaskade spins at one of the socialite’s favorite places to party, at Blush at the Wynn.
And finally, KC & The Sunshine Band rounds out the Halloween offerings and will play out in Primm on Saturday, at the Star of the Desert Arena.
