Ad agency sues, claims magician failed to pay bills

Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009 | 2:05 a.m.

Magician and magic consultant Curtis Adams has been sued by a Las Vegas advertising agency over allegedly unpaid bills.

R&R Partners filed suit Tuesday in Clark County District Court alleging Adams and his company, The Magic of Curtis Adams Inc., signed a contract in September 2007 for advertising services.

The suit says such services were provided for several months, but the defendants didn't pay all that was due and that in February 2008 R&R demanded $22,120 that was due at that time.

The suit says the $22,120 is still due and has been accruing interest at the rate of 1.5 percent per month.

Adams, according to his booking company Mills Entertainment, has been in demand as a consultant for Hollywood productions.

The magician has performed in Las Vegas and around the country and now sometimes tours with his show "Magic That Rocks."

Jennifer Chavarria, Adams' creative partner, said Wednesday that she and Adams were unaware the suit had been filed and couldn't comment on the allegations.
