Metro Police have taken a man into custody after they say he committed a robbery, stole two vehicles and rammed a police cruiser.
A home robbery occurred about 2 p.m. today and the victim gave a description of the vehicle, Officer Jay Rivera said.
Police near Desert Inn Road and Mojave Road spotted the vehicle and pursued the man. During the pursuit, the man rammed two police cruisers, leaving one with its bumper hanging off.
Officers pursued the man in a second stolen vehicle, which he crashed, police said. The man then ran to the Wheatherstone apartment complex east of Mojave Road, Rivera said.
He barricaded himself in an empty apartment before police negotiators and a SWAT team arrived.
Shortly before 5 p.m., the man was taken into custody. He is facing robbery and other charges, Rivera said.

I nominate this guy for the Charles Darwin dumb crook of the month award. No wonder he can't find a job. Wait a minute, he is too dumb to steal too.
This is why we need more prisons in Nevada and less liberal politicians that say no to that.
This made for some good comedy live on channel 8 this afternoon.
He should have just done a swan dive off the roof & saved everyone a lot of hassles.
