Man accused in Henderson business robberies appears in court

A man accused of robbing four businesses at gunpoint in a two-week span not long after being released from prison appeared today in Henderson Justice Court for a preliminary hearing.

Bill Ray Freeman, 50, is facing 12 charges, which include robbery with a deadly weapon and burglary in connection with crimes committed at Henderson businesses.

Freeman is accused in the Sept. 20 robbery of Total Health Express, a vitamin store on Eastern Avenue; a Sept. 26 robbery at a health store on Horizon Ridge Parkway; a Sept. 27 robbery of a Hallmark store on Green Valley Parkway; and a robbery Oct. 3 at a Baskin Robbins ice cream store on Sunset Road.

The hearing was continued until November.
