A man who died in a double shooting Monday has been identified as 37-year-old Norman Mayes of Las Vegas, the Clark County Coroner's Office said.

Mayes died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head and his death was a homicide, a spokeswoman for the coroner's office said today.

Metro Police homicide detectives were still searching for three men seen fleeing the Pacific Harbor Apartments, 5150 E. Sahara Ave., near Nellis Boulevard, after a woman called police about 12:30 p.m. Monday and said someone had been shot.

The man was found dead inside an apartment and a woman was hospitalized after both were shot in the head, police said.

Lt. Lew Roberts, chief of Metro's Homicide Section, said homicide detectives are investigating whether drugs were involved in the double shooting.
