I wonder how the Reid family reacted to this paragraph in a profile of Reid the Elder in The Economist: “In the coming months, Mr. Reid could help bring radical change to America, reshaping the way people pay for health care and consume energy. But next year, he could lose his job. He will not fall without a fight, as the boxers he used to spar with will attest. And even if he loses, his son Rory might be Nevada’s next governor. Harry Reid might have been born in a town with no telephones, but he still hopes to start a dynasty.” The piece, which also referred to the senator as “not a deep thinker” but “a canny horse-trader,” only cements an impression, false though it may be, that the two Reids love having each other atop the ballot.

  1. "The piece, which also referred to the senator as "not a deep thinker" but "a canny horse-trader," only cements an impression"

Anyone looking at the inept laws out of Washington knows how true this is.

  2. County commissioner to Governor? That makes sense. Rory running unopposed, tells me all I need to know about Daddy's control.
