Cashell-Goodman ticket? Get outta here

Shocking almost no one, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell finally declared this week that he is running for reelection, not for governor. A fundraiser scheduled for his mayoral bid was a dead giveaway, as reported in the Reno Gazette-Journal. My favorite line in the story was this: “For months Cashell toyed with the idea of running for governor. He said he had a poll that showed an independent ticket of Cashell, a Republican, and Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, a Democrat, could be competitive.” Goodman agreed to play second fiddle to Cashell in that race, running for lieutenant governor to Cashell’s governor?
