Las Vegas Sun reporters Ray Brewer and Steve Silver remember former Palo Verde coach David Castro while looking ahead to this week's games.

Expanded coverage

Moapa Valley’s starters only played one quarter in Friday night’s 68-0 victory against Sunrise Mountain.

After the first quarter, Moapa Valley led 32-0.

“It was kind of a bloodbath,” Moapa Valley coach Brent Lewis said.

Moapa Valley improved to 5-3 with two games remaining before the class 3A playoffs begin.

“We are where we want to be,” Lewis said. “We need to keep going in with the same mindset.”

Discussion: 1 comment so far…

  1. Not that it matters but Moapa was up 40-0 at the end of the first quarter.
And the New King of 3A LOST to Virgin Valley. Does that not put them in last place?
