Nye County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested a man this week, accusing him of lewdness with a 12-year-old girl.
Detectives arrested 36-year-old Adolfo Magana Sandoval of Pahrump at about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at his home, the sheriff's office said.
Sandoval was booked into the Nye County Detention Center on one count each of open and gross lewdness, sexual assault with a child under age 14, statutory sexual seduction and lewdness with a child under 14.
Detectives said Sandoval allegedly engaged in sexual activity with an unidentified 12-year-old girl for about two months.
A search warrant allowed detectives to search Sandoval's residence and evidence was taken from the home.
Sandoval's bail has been set at $80,000.

Even I, as a registered drooling liberal, have problems with this gentleman. He's 36, and really should be sentenced to a term that equals his age, in other words 36 plus 36 equals his first parole hearing. "Eh, what'cha say, speak up Sonny, it's 2045..."
