Helen B. Smith, 88, a resident of the Nevada State Veterans Home in Boulder City, passed away Oct. 18 in Boulder City.
She was born June 1, 1921, in Rapid City, S.D., to Olpha and Edna Adams.
Helen was a retired housewife. She had lived in Boulder City for two years and she had previously resided in Denver for many years. She was a member of the Boulder City Assembly of God Church.
Helen is survived by her son, Michael Sirkel of Oklahoma; daughters, Shirley Hutchison of Colorado and Judy Van Matre of Boulder City; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:20 a.m. Oct. 22 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nevada State Veterans Home (Sidewinder Wing), 100 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Boulder City.
Boulder City Family Mortuary handled the arrangements.
