LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Displacing wild horses a cruel choice

Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 | 2:01 a.m.

Regarding the Las Vegas Sun’s Monday editorial “Saving Western mustangs: New plan is announced that would establish horse preserves in the Midwest and East”:

My question is this: How can mustangs, having been born and having lived their lives in the West, survive the harsh winters — blizzards and frozen water, to name two examples — in the Midwest and the East?

To displace these majestic creatures of beauty would be to sentence many of them to slow, thirsty, cold and hungry deaths.

Discussion: 2 comments so far…

  1. Why? Because most humans have a heart of darkness. . .

  2. I have an idea Susan on how to save the wild horses; put them in your own yard
