Las Vegas Sun reporters Ray Brewer and Steve Silver break down last week's high school football contests and preview this Friday's upcoming games including the Henderson Bowl between Green Valley and Basic as well as the Cleat game Chaparral and Eldorado.
Another week of high school football games are in the books. Yes, we agree — the season has gone by too fast.
It seems like just yesterday when players were receiving their equipment and coaches were scrambling to finish last-minute preparations.
With the season quickly winding down, here are some of the results from Week 8.
• Palo Verde scores 34 points in fourth quarter, tops Arbor View
• Del Sol stays undefeated, blanks Centennial
• Faith Lutheran notches first 4A victory

Brewer-
Where's the Moapa @ Boulder story?
From nevadapreps.com:
Moapa Valley 39, Boulder City 7
If Boulder would have won, it would have been the headline. They got worked, so no story. Way to be un-biased. Bouder by 1, really? Maybe you guys should stick to picking girls tennis or I know, cross country. I hope Boulders stud MLB makes better pizza than he tackles. Good job Pirates, You just worked a overrated JV killer. Remember, Boulder is a joke, that does not mean anything. Beating Truckee next month is the main goal.
Moapa Valley fans still lose, because they have to live in Moapa Valley, wherever that is.
Yeah and Vegas still loses... because they cant read a map to see where Moapa Valley is.
