Metro Police have arrested two brothers in connection with a fatal shooting Thursday night.

Police arrested 31-year-old Richard Saterstad and his 25-year-old brother, Martin, early Friday morning.

The shooting occurred about 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3000 block of Red Bay Way, near Cheyenne Avenue and Buffalo Drive. Authorities received a report of a home invasion that involved up to four men. Homicide detectives identified the brothers as the prime suspects.

Officers arrived and contacted a man who was standing outside the residence smoking a cigarette, police said. Inside, police found a second man. Both were taken into custody for questioning.

Officers found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound in the home's backyard. Investigators said they believe three or four others who had arrived with the victim fled the scene on foot.

After a preliminary investigation, police said they believe the shooting might be linked to the sale of drugs.

The identity of the man who was fatally shot hasn't been released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or Metro's homicide section at (702) 828-3521.
