Fannie Strahl passed away on Oct. 8.
She was born to Pedro and Ambrosia Chavez on Jan. 23, 1919, in San Miguel, N.M.
She married Willis Strahl Sr. in 1936, and they had 12 children, four of whom died at childbirth.
She is survived by sons Charles and wife Linda of Loma Linda, Calif., Albert and wife Barbara of Las Vegas, Willis Jr. and wife Marylynn of Henderson, Bob and wife Veva of Henderson, daughters Mary Ann Klemp of New Lisbon, Wis., Mary Frances Martinez and husband Jim of Henderson, Shirley Ann Bentajado of Henderson, Anna Hayes and husband Leon of Santa Fe, N.M., 29 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Sr., and five children.
Services were held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Henderson, and she will be buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Las Vegas, N.M., next to her husband.
Palm Mortuary handled the arrangements.
