Republicans, Limbaugh selectively patriotic

After eight years of wrapping themselves in the American flag, Republicans now routinely celebrate American defeats and mourn American successes. Our loss of the 2016 Olympics was cheered last week, and President Barack Obama’s receipt of the Nobel Peace Prize was slammed Friday.
Why was the Peace Prize a surprise? For eight years George W. Bush strode the globe with such arrogant threats as “You’re either with us or against us” — and his support of torture — while his dwindling supporters labeled as “unpatriotic” any critic of his policies. Seeking a change from a presidency that many historians rate as the worst ever, Barack Obama was elected by a margin that dwarfed his predecessor’s wins.
That’s when the Republicans’ standard-bearer, Rush Limbaugh, declared that he hoped Obama would fail. It didn’t matter that this also meant America would fail. And the Republicans have lined up behind Limbaugh ever since. I guess their national pride exists only when a Republican is in the White House.

Limbaugh has approximately 3.6 million regular viewers which amounts to a little over 1% of the U.S. population. So that's not a sufficient percentage, but the lefties would love to see Limbaugh hanged, drawn and quartered.
After the blood letting, lefties say that they are the party of compassion and that they love their fellow man.
I guess the lefties don't consider that Russ Limbaugh is their fellow man...

I could not imagine anyone with any military time putting down a fellow service- member for drawing a government check, knowing how small they actually were, and how little they did to make up for the sacrifice someone goes through and puts their family through during the deployments, etc. My cup is clean, I sit in a chair quite a bit to relieve the pressure on my disabled knee (flightdeck accident in 1971), when I go to the Commissary, which is about the only place I go except to for Doctors office,I walk with a cane, and I ride one of the electric carts, and no, I don't care for Carter. I have a friend whose elderly aunt is actually becoming anxiety-ridden and emotionally afraid of losing her medical care and life due to her daily viewing of the hate and lies of Fox talking heads.
This poor woman is literally growing more emotionally disturbed each day due to this hideous display of mis-information and hatred of the president. Every attempt to stop her from watching increases her fears that she will miss something about someone coming to "get" her to take her away from her home and kill her for being elderly and on Medicare.
The family should consider suing the network for causing so much fear and anxiety for this poor woman! And the posters on here perpetuate this type of fear. For pete's sake, george bush has left the building...get over it!

As for Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck, Hannity and Lou Dobbs. They are pretty polarizing and I don't spend much time watching their programs. I think you could label these people as entertainers not news reporters and you either like them or not...
I watch FOX NEWS mainly in the mornings to get fair and balanced news stories. I am not too interested in listening to any one person's interpretation of anything.
