Approximate area of shooting
Metro Police arrested the 25-year-old wife of a man found shot to death this morning outside their home in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.
Investigators say the 37-year-old husband and his wife had been involved in a domestic dispute.
Police say the woman, Ericka McElroy, is alleged to have shot her husband outside their house in the 5000 block of Upper Falls Court near West Cactus Avenue and South Decatur Boulevard.
McElroy has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of murder with a deadly weapon. She is being held without bail, according to detention center records.
Police were called to the home about 5:10 a.m. Wednesday by a woman who said her daughter had just shot her husband outside their home.
When officers and emergency medical crews arrived, they found the man with a gunshot wound to his chest. Paramedics examined the man and pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.
The name of the man hasn't been released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.

sympathies to the family.sounds like she was a bad-ass.
Doesn't metro have a hooker sting to be at? How dare they investigate a homicide!! Where are the priorities (Gillespie) in the town????
every 3 days we get one of these. vegas is spiraling down as fast as it spiraled up.
Yeah and who was that lady (her son held a knife to her throat) in the other story that said family members never hurt or kill each other.
WHY? - Domestic Dispute
But how bad was that domestic dispute that this woman decided to shoot and kill her husband?
Probably self defense. How many times is a woman supposed to let her husband beat the stuffing out of her? This may or may not be the case in this particular incident, but you know that happens all the time and is happening all over the world as I type this.
Is this incident alcohol/drug usage related?
She prob got tired of getting beat, and waiting for metro,so she took matters in her own hands?
i bet when she left high school she did not think this was they way life was going to be sad
