Local teen’s run at Las Vegas Open comes to a halt

Henderson native Asia Muhammad's lengthy stay in the Lexus of Las Vegas Open came to an end Saturday.
Muhammad and partner Coco Vandeweghe had no answer for Aniko Kapros and Agustina Lepore as Kapros/Lepore cruised through the doubles semifinals 6-2, 6-1.
The duo will face Americans Kimberly Couts and Lindsay Lee-Waters in the doubles championship Sunday following the singles final, which will also feature Kapros.
The 25-year-old Hungarian outlasted Mirjana Lucic 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 in Saturday's semifinal. Kapros and Russian Regina Kulikova are set to battle in the singles title match at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Red Rock Country Club.
