House fire
A fire caused about $75,000 in damage Thursday to a Las Vegas home.
Firefighters responded at 12:08 p.m. to the home at 1908 Calanda Court, near Rancho Drive and Oakey Boulevard. The home's owner was at work when the fire started and no one was injured.
A co-worker reported the fire to the owner and dispatchers received several reports of the fire. Heavy smoke was coming from the home when firefighters arrived.
Investigators said the cause of the fire might be an electrical problem related to a ceiling fan that was recently installed.
