LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Palin’s actions illustrate where her priorities are

Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 | 2:02 a.m.

There were people who called Sarah Palin a quitter when she stepped down as Alaska’s governor. That wasn’t the case at all — she showed she was an entrepreneur.

She knew she couldn’t afford to wait until she served out her term because she would, by then, be old news. If she wanted to make millions off a book deal, it had to be now.

Even though she had committed herself to serve the people of Alaska for four years, money wins out over the interests of Alaskans.

The trust the people had in her when they elected her governor was violated, but that’s not important. What is important is that she can now shop at Neiman Marcus with her own money.

  1. How many millions of dollars did Obama make on his two books?

Several million which allowed Obama to shop for a new job

  2. Listen up, SARAH PALIN IS HOT, HOT, HOT. She's a hot tamale on the hot tamale train!!!!! I would like to see her on Dancing with the stars!!!

  3. Obama: When running for his Senate seat promised to serve out his term and not run for President. (Just one of the hundreds of promises that he has broken)

Obama: In his short Senate time, he spent a lot of it writing books and making millions.

What do we hear from the lib koolaid hypocrite echo chamber? Silence..........

  4. Once again the hypocrisy of liberals knows no bounds. Obama can write books and make bank, Al Gore can fly around the world selling himself to the highest bidder and talking up his various global warming scams. Hillary Clinton can leave her senate seat early to pursue better opportunities. But, Sarah Palin somehow "violated" the people of Alaska by leaving office. Funny how the liberals are now concerned for the people of Alaska. Weren't these the same liberals who were disparaging the people of Alaska for having voted for Palin in the first place?

  5. Sarah Palin is the perfect example of "get out of the kitchen if you cant' stand the heat". Ethics investigations, falling poll numbers, low intellect, and embarrassing stories about her personal life were diminishing her possibilities of cashing in on her 15 minutes of fame. Who would blame her for taking the "cha-ching" route. There are only about 680,000 people in Alaska and not much "governing" to do, so she really won't be missed. Her biggest project while governor was trying get a second Target store to open in the largest state in the U.S. and those nasty pornographic library books.

    The Dumb & Plumber Choice

  7. Obama did it the old fashioned way. He ran for President while being paid to be a Senator even though he never went to work while he campaigned. I like the entrepreneur model over the welfare model.

  8. Palin is the gift that keeps on giving.

  9. Palin finished off the GOP for decades.

  10. Sarah Palin.
You either love her or hate her.
I feel the latter. I think she is a turd in a dress.
I cannot imagine reading anything she would write.
I am sure she is a responsible adult person who is loved by her family and for that I am sure we are all so very much in awe of her (urp and wretch).
In other words, she is average on steroids. Now she has gotten on the "get rich" train and is riding it for all it is worth. Woooopdeedooo. Next story.

  11. Obama came from the captial of corruption...South Chicago.

One of his best friends was the biggest crook in South Chicago and that crook helped him buy a house.

He appointed as chief as staff one of the biggest crooks in DC.

Obama and his crooked friends are probably making truckloads of cash on a daily basis. All this big government programs are just a means to load more trucks loaded with more cash quicker and bigger.

  12. Sarah Palin will never win another election. Ever. No one likes a quitter. Especially a quitter who quits to enrich herself. ISH.

  13. Sarah Palin is a joke best told behind closed doors. Her appeal to the simpleminded dolts that praise her for her " common sense and being just like us" must really want to adore someone just like themselves. In other words , someone simple (read uneducated ?) with common sense (read unsophisticated ?) and a real family person (read raising an unmarried daughter with child ?).

And look who her supporters are within the Republican Party. No elected politician wants to be anywhere around her, because she sucks the air out of any event she attends because of her polarizing personality. People either love her or hate her, thank God mostly the latter, but enough of the former to stir up trouble for serious office-seekers with whom she appears. Even John McCain doesn't want to be in the same state with her.

Rush Limpballs loves her however, saying that her book "was the most substantive policy statement" he had ever read. Obviously, old Rushbo don't read a lot besides his prescription labels. Bill O'Reilly loves her, as does the snarky Sean HanNAZI, and the wonderfully weird Glenn Beck. That should be enough to tell you what kind of a person Sarah is, if she hangs around with this bunch of intellectual losers. They all make their living preying on the fear and paranoia set loose on America by the fear-mongers that lead the Republican party.
