LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Agassi deserves praise for honesty, philanthropy
Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 | 2:02 a.m.
I, for one, am not down on Andre Agassi for his confessions via his book “Open.” It takes someone of great fortitude to reveal himself inside and out in a real, honest manner. Agassi is truly a human being with integrity.
For most of us, life never goes as planned, and there are demons inside every one of us playing the cards. Many people decide to wait until after death for their errors and sins to be revealed, if ever.
How many clergymen would step up and reveal everything about their lives in much the same manner as Agassi? Not many, I suppose. And how many other people, in spite of their past demons and revelations, would get back into the public eye and continue onward and outward to help others as Agassi has?

bravo andre...
your interview on 60 minutes was compelling...
martina will see the light one day...
so will your vegas critics...
tell steffi i said hello...
All praises! Andre', thanks for all you've done for Black kids. AWOL-MIA: His Airness, Mayweather, Kobe, etc.
How many would do it for a 5 million dollar signing bonus plus millions more, when they don't even need the money? And, trash their father who "force" him into the poor sad life he has to endure today. "Integrity" should be used to describe people who truly deserve it.
lcdrmandiblenamvet.. Agassi is truly a Patriot, and he didn't do it all for Black kids, He did it for disadvantaged kids Black and White and Hispanic, and Asian, Native American etc etc etc. Get the picture?
dingomeister: that four-flushing draft-dodging larcenous Neal Bush made him do it!
