Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 | 6:52 a.m.

Dry weather with above-normal temperatures reaching into the 70s is on tap for Las Vegas through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

But a Pacific storm will bring cooler and unsettled weather late in the week and into the weekend, with a chance of rain in the valleys and snow in the mountains, the weather service said.

Temperatures were starting this morning at 51 degrees at 5:56 a.m. at McCarran International Airport. The normal low for today's date is 46 degrees and the record low is 26 degrees, set in 1945.

Temperatures will climb to 65 degrees by 9 a.m., to 73 degrees by noon and top out at 77 degrees at 2 p.m. today, forecasters said. The normal high for today is 69 degrees. The record high for today's date is 82 degrees, set in 1978.

Skies will become partly cloudy tonight, but will be mostly sunny on Tuesday. Tuesday's morning low will be 52 degrees and Tuesday's high will be 80 degrees, forecasters said.

Wednesday will bring mostly sunny skies with a high near 78 degrees for Veteran's Day.
