A Las Vegas man suffered critical injuries in a one-car accident late Thursday night in the eastern valley, according to Metro Police.

Daniel Reyes, 36, was driving his 1998 Honda Accord at 11:32 p.m. north on Lamb Boulevard, south of Colorado Avenue, when the accident occurred, police said.

Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicated the Honda struck the center median and the driver lost control and the car began sliding sideways, police said. At that time, the car struck the east curb, and a light pole on the sidewalk, police said.

Reyes was transported to University Medical Center Trauma with life-threatening injuries, officers said.

The collision remains under investigation, police said.
