‘Density’ of Las Vegas-area crime in October

The map below shows the "density" of reported crimes during October within Metro Police's jurisdiction (Las Vegas and unincorporated Clark County). It's based on nearly 1,300 incidents last month including homicide, assault, robbery and fighting. Density isn't adjusted for the population in any part of the valley — the color coding is based on both the proximity and frequency of reported crimes. Events that are tightly clustered in terms of physical distance or that are reported multiple times from a similar location correspond with a darker shading on the map.

I see they left North Las Vegas out which leads me to think they don't want to offend Obama and their voting pool.
North Las Vegas is its own jurisdiction. Notice how Henderson is blocked out as well...
You are correct, the crime in Henderson is rising and at the present rate of crime it will become another North Las Vegas. Henderson is becoming infested with Liberals and they're enabling the section 8 crowd and other less desirable people too infest into once was nice communities.
And parents in Henderson tend not to discipline their children and enable their children to express themselves like they lived in North Las Vegas. As I drive around and I see their children dressing like they live in the projects and acting like they were raised in the hood. The funny part about it is that these parents are feel that because they have money their children are immune from these elements and tout their kids and angels, they're evil sadistic kids it's just not reported.
If you're a right wing conservative like me, you are not allowed by the Sun scanners to express the truth pertaining to the lower socio economic ehtnics that are the heart of the crime infested areas. Scumbags like Illegal aliens and Illegal Mexicans are the at the root of the crimes being perpetrated. This truthful comment will get the axe soon.

I don't personally know a single African American or Latino(a) who does not want work across whatever perceived gap there is (in no small part whipped up by right-wing hate radio) for the bettererment of everyone in the valley.
And you'd even be surprised how many conservatives and Republicans there are in these communities who want to join up but are intimated by the vile racism and hate mongering of the 21st century Know-Nothings.

No mention of color, it is no secret that NLV is riddled with crime and the preferred job of choice and other areas of the valley are competing to take the top honor of criminal element.
We deal with the reality of daily and it has slowly infested into society where it's out of control and is part of the problem of why America is dealing with a meltdown.
America can't afford to pay for the preferred choices of the Democrats anymore, we're taxed to death and we're paying for career jobless choices and our open borders to Mexico so the low paying jobs normally done by American teenagers as their first job is now being done by illegals.
Now these children have nothing to do except stroll the streets and whine and complain what isn't being given to them because their parents feel it is beneath their gene pool to work jobs that is primarily performed by illegal immigrants these days.
When I grew up illegal immigrants worked in the fields and picked the annual harvest, today they've infested every aspect of the American economy and ruined it for Americans.
The preferred job of choice for those who blame the last 30 years of their life choices on others and choose to live off the system or expect freebies from those who work is where crime is the highest, and these people are who?
If you're feeling guilty or inferring that certain races are more responsible for crime riddled areas then just say that; I am little confused with what you are saying.
Instead of making rude comments, perhaps you all should read the caption at the top. This map reflects Metro ONLY. North Las Vegas has a different police force.
typical - blame blame blame blame...everyone wants to blame someone - the republicans to blame the democrats, someone blaming the blacks or the Mexicans and someone else blaming someone else. Perhaps someday when you manage to extract your head from your butt you will realize that part of such a high population growth that Las Vegas has experienced is an increase in crime in key areas. People can be so completely ignorant sometimes.

I am surprised at the lifespan of my comment regarding the problem imbedded in the ethnic hoods/barrios of Las Vegas. The Sun staff is Pro-Illegal Alien and Anti-White, and is quick to quash any opinion expressed by us, the Right Wing Christian Evangelist movement.
As for the last comment, the US military is predominantly white in its elite units, for obvious reasons.
According to the map the only places with "fewer" crimes are freaking golf courses. All of "vegas" is a waste land of criminals and uneducated, unemployed, soon to be criminals. I especially like the blue bubble in summerland aka summerlin aka death valley south, those retires make easy targets.

Crime is the result of no middle ground between the haves and have nots. The minute that gap widens, so does the increase of crime in any country...
This is so bizarre...America is a country for all of us...for people like me, whose 88 year old Mother was a WAC and Red Cross worker in WWII...my Father was in WWII, my Grandfather in WWI, to be matter of fact, there has been someone related to me in every war except the War of 1812...I even had some misguided ancestors who served the Confederacy...I always think of that as being a mock government that supported a welfare state....the poor Slaves worked and the lazy landowners lived off of their(slaves) work...now that's real welfare...nonetheless still Americans...both of them...the slave and the slave holder...as well as the Spanish speaking patriots who went to war for Texas in the Alamo...as well as the Irish people who came here in the potato famine in the 1800's, and other Europeans in the early 1900's, ...all Americans...all of the above paid in blood for this country...like our Native Americans who were here before the big ships came and treated them very poorly...crime is an economic issue...issues of lack of education and exposure...not a matter of skin color...if that's the case the European American men that were caught breaking into my house, west of 215 in Summerlin could not exist according to some of these readers... no set of immigrants are better than others...I'm sure that if those of us who have been here, genetically, since 1643...have no room for hate labeled right wing patriotism...I'm going to think that all of us could be a tad more accepting, helpful and less divisive.....just a thought, and I'm a real American

How silly to post a comment explaining the "cleanup" of a comment meant to explain the truth behind the vast difference in the socio economic stratuses of crime ridden areas of Las Vegas. The truth is that the ethnic minorities inhabiting those areas feed off themselves and each other, and whites that are stupid enough to frequent the areas for drugs and prostitutes.

Statistics are facts, not necessarily racism. Really though, you raise your kids in Las Vegas and Henderson where they are exposed to billboards advertising strip joints, smoking/slot machines at the front of most grocery stores, and so on ... and you are complaining about any racial group in particular?!
