Letter to the editor:
Bless GOP leaders for continuing to criticize Obama
Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 | 2:02 a.m.
Barack Obama is intelligent, articulate and is a president for all of the people. He is regarded everywhere with awe and respect. Well, most everywhere.
Some of the criticism made about the president actually makes me feel good.
I want to thank three of his biggest “fans” for helping him to become more popular every day — they are Dick Cheney, Glenn Beck and, of course, the incomparable Sarah Palin.

Technorati

I think he is so loved that is reason why his approval rating is a outstanding high of ......46% and currently trending downward.
26% say is doing an outstanding job.
40% say is doing a crappy job.
Yes, he is loved, loved, loved by 26%.
Dear SgtDumbasaRock: Wishing won't make it so. Neither will praying. But I'm being redundant.
I not wishing but if you want to believe your ass is made out cheese then I guess you can just continue to be village idiot and just ignore the facts.
It is a free world....please continue to be the village idiot.
Here is one big bright fact to slap you right in the face.....Obama is soooooooooooooooooooooo popular that his numerous visits will give the NJ Dem Gov a large smashing overwhelming victory.
If the NJ Dem Gov loses then you need to go babling in the streets claiming that Obama is the greatest and is really loved. Here.....I open the door to fanasty land so you can jump right in.
Intelligent - reads and says what others tell him to say
articulate - so is any other 1/2 million Americans
Awe and respect - no awe for this man who can't make a decision for example on more troops for Afganistan. I respect the office of President, no respect for the man who cannot read, write or think for himself without a teleprompter.
you gotta love private pebble...

Anthony got his unemployment extension I see.
The Republicans certainly have plenty of criticism (and hate) to dish out, but they don't have any policies for actually moving the country forward after FAILING MISERABLY at that for the last eight years! They're always good for a laugh though.
SgtRock:
Obama's approval rating is 54%, which is one percent higher than the 53% of the vote he got last November. His rating would be higher if he would quit listening to the loser conservatives and republicans. He would also be wise to fire Geitner, Summer and Bernanke. Raise the taxes on the rich and get us out of this recession. Then seal the deal by shutting out Wall Street and the corporatists, be they democrats or republicans, who are the main obstacle to change.
The Obama worshippers get scarier and loonier everyday.
The wingnuts, teabaggers, birthers and ditto heads are the only loonies in America today. You people don't have any competition in the insane asylum. Keep blindly following Limbaugh, Beck and Palin right over the cliff while your beloved Republican party continues to shrink into irrelevance.
Hey Anthony: I would like to thank Dick Cheney, Glenn Beck, and Sarah Palin: For just being who they are in life. And as for you take it easy on the kool-aid your embarrassing yourself.
Don't forget the socialists, mercantilists, anti-school choicers, welfare statists, corporatists, one track minded environmentalists, and of course the over population doomsayers, new agers and relativists that make up the political left.
Thanks for driving my point home!
I bet Mr. DiPietro loves Obama because he got an increase in his government disability check for being blind and mentally challenged.
Birdiedreamin, will you please help us out.
In one concise sentence or paragraph, tell us what your president has done for us ignorant "private pebble", so that we can see the light as well as you.
Republican plan for health care that they did NOTHING about in the Bush years: More of the same, along with a trillion dollar tax cut for the rich!
Republican plan for "fiscal responsibility" that they like to crow about all the time: Endless trillion dollar wars, and another trillion dollar tax cut for the rich!
Republican plan for creating jobs: More corporate welfare and trillion dollar tax cuts!
Republican plan for education: More failed, unfunded policies and another trillion dollar tax cut for the rich!!
Republican blueprint back to power: Hate, lies and propaganda. Oh, and another trillion dollar tax cut for the rich!
If only the "teabaggers" were around to save America when Republicans were robbing the treasury blind and bankrupting the country!
AJ just hates them there Republicans. Just can't stand them. AJ spews hate for the Republicans in every post that AJ makes. Too bad...
The extremes of both the Democrats and the Republican parties are hurting their party of choice. Independents are on the rise...
So, keep blaming Bush, Cheney and every other Republican who has ever walked the earth. you are just driving the open minded moderates out of your parties and into the Independents...
As far as Obama being intelligent, only a diehard troll would think Obama is intelligent. Obama is the Golden child of affirmative action and has not produced anything useful or meaningful his entire life. He learned from the best how to communicate the ultimate scam known to mankind, he was elected. His stupidity is evident, he has hired CZARS to advise him and he really believes what these buffoons tell him. The sad part of this is that we're paying for the CZARS and now we're stuck supporting Obama for the rest of his life for screwing America over.
I can't wait until history is written about Obama, who is going to continue the lies and who will be brutally honest, this is going to be the battle of battles up until the point when the party turns against him because they no longer have control over DC. With unemployment rising and another depression lurking just around the corner, Obama is out of office one way or another, he will be impeached or forced to resign before 2012.
American's won't tolerate his stupidity or his Marxists policies and many people are angry and the water is getting hotter and when the water hits a full boil, Obama's scam is up and the impeachment process starts. Obama is coward and he will resign before impeachment is completed, he wants more freebies from American's; it's in his genes.
itisnothot2: obama has served as much military active duty time as bush/cheney ; now explain to me whom is the bigger coward?
Mr. DiPietro - you are obviously an extreme racist. You have utter disdain for all white people. I know you will agree with this because I'm using Jimmy Carter's logic.
I can only see it from a laymen's point of view, Obama has the regular White House staff that other presidents used to perform their duties which they were hired to do in the first place and we have to pay $7.2 million more for a person that you liberals claim to possess a such higher intelligence level than his predecessor. We pay staff, Obama, Biden, and the rest of the White House to perform the job they were hired to do and now we pay an additional $7.2 million for people to advise him, something's not adding up.
Here is it, a difficult question for us laymen people, how intelligent is Obama really? Please be concise and answer the question with factual information.
Those who cannot form their own opinions as true as they can are manipulable pawns of the Fascist right. Every so often the "Brownshirt" propagandists toss out lie bones to their loyal groupie followers who repeat the message from the right wing Demagogues. Get a real life-Think!
ghost: You have that crap on your mind and it's rotting your brain.
RHG:
He was born in a manger.
Hey dipstick, I could be wrong here, because I get the bulk of my news from FOX News, but wasn't Dick Cheney the Secretary of Defense during the Gulf War and didn't he and Colin Powell orchestrate one of the best military strikes of all history?
And as I recall, George W. Bush was a fighter jet pilot in the National Guards. You don't become a fighter pilot by being a dummy and just to remind some of you, a lot of National Guard pilots have been flying lots of missions over Iraq and Afghanistan.
I don't think a coward could fly and land a fighter jet even in peacetime.
dipstick-Mr Bush was in the National Guard which is military service.
AJ if there were fewer social parasites like you the government could cut a lot of taxes and let people keep the money they honestly earn. The way it is now they have to keep the taxes high so freeloaders like you who aren't intelligent or ambitious enough to take care of yourselves can survive. Personally I would rather keep what I earned and see you and your ilk living on the streets. You rather get your money the Democrat way. Have the government steal it from others and give it to you. I bet your family is ashamed that you as a failure, can't support them and they need to rely on people better than they are.
Larry vegas, hide the Kool-Aid. Boy George is a $0+ years UCMJ felon (AWOLee-deserter). Ditto for SCOTUS in-Justice Alito. Alito is a Boy Goerge clone. Alito was required to serve "11" years on active military duty, a payback from where taxpayers (U.S. Army ROTC) funded his education (JD_undergrad degrees). Like Boy George, Alito only served a whopping"90" days on active duty. Check out his online "bio". Obama and angry Black "tea-baggers" nationally, should impeach Alito. Put a sister on the SCOTUS bench. Watch Clarence Thomas'("Driving Ms. Daisy") head explode.
Obama......... needs to stop campaigning and make a friggin' decision.
ON ANYTHING!!!! (Bill Maher, Oct 2009)
The lib pimp patrol would have you think that walking on water was enough, but here is a great quote; "Obama uses a teleprompter in his bedroom", Bill Maher, September 2009.
You know you are in deep when "Mr. Progressive" hammers you.
dingo, instead of Kool-Aid, I think I need a couple of cans of Bud Lights. Then I will try to answer your question/statement/comment.
Later...
getalife;
Bill Maher. Isn't he in bed with the hideous Ann Coulter? YUKKKO! That's just sick, man.
I didn't like Maher before, now I think he's
gotta be mentally ill.
What does "lib pimp patrol" consist of?
He still has my vote! Mr. Obama is doing a great job in spite of the nay sayers. If you think the conservitives can do better you are sadly mistaken! They couldn't s**t so they had to get off the pot!
You're the embodiment of the term "adult add" there, LarryVegas. The thread is about the GOP, so try taking your meds and reading the title again. As for you, jlb101, that's one hilarious rant there buddy! Too bad you lifted it straight from the Fox "news" message boards! You should be a comedian buddy! You "right wangers" are nothing if not predictable, one-dimensional and simple-minded. And we still haven't seen a coherent defense of the FAILED Republican policies of the last eight years. You wangnuts can run, but you can't hide!
Hey AJ... Don't you mean "Adult ADHD?" Very funny...
I see you are still bashing the Bush Administration for today's problems...
LV4LIFE is sitting on his pot again. I wonder what he will pull out of the pot when he's finished???
Put that crap about Obama doing a great job back in the pot and pull out another hand full...
No matter how you stir it LV4LIFE, it will always be the same as when you pulled it out of the pot.
gmag, The lib pimp patrol refers to the posters who no matter what, defend Obama and spin into oblivion.
You know, just like the Repub pimp patrol works for Bush.
I am a conservative who doesn't listen to Rush and the gang, watch fox news or drink kool-aid.
So theoretically I am not a "john".
AJ,
"Don't forget the socialists, mercantilists, anti-school choicers, welfare statists, corporatists, one track minded environmentalists, and of course the over population doomsayers, new agers and relativists that make up the political left."
How does that prove your point? Your point is that the only Looney Toons are on the right. My point is that there are plenty on the left.
Maybe you're one of them?
PS, the Republicans did try something with healthcare, they gave us the Medicaid reform that Democrats would have loved to have pushed if they were in power. They didn't do anything meaningful like push HSAs, eliminate tax advantages from having employer provided health insurance, eliminate state mandates, or remove state restrictions on insurance competition. But they did try something, so lets be honest about that.
PS, failed Republican policies included attacks on free trade, doubling of transportation and health care budgets, a tripling of education budgets, the federalization of K-12 public education, and a large increase in federal regulations (adding some 10,000 pages to the federal register since 2000) http://www.gpoaccess.gov/fr/
So yes, the Republicans brought us big government and it failed, just like Republicans told us it would.
"The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it."
-PJ O'Rourke
FOX has a new Reality TV show about the Obama administration called Last Commie Standing......
Each week another member/czar gets voted off.
Stang and his fellow lib's:
Obama is soooooooooooooooooo popular that a Republic won the Virg Gov seat with a 2 to 1 margin and a 30 point victory.
Obama is sooooooooooooooooo popular that a Democratic gov in a very very very very blue seat lost even though the Messiah visited the state several times in the past month.
StanG.....you can now start babling about how popular Obama is.
Virginia voted for Republicans in nearly every presidential election since 1952 except for the Democratic landslide in President Johnson's election in 1964 and Barack Obama's victory in 2008. Virginia's former streak of voting for Republicans in ten consecutive presidential elections (1968-2004), started when Richard Nixon began the Southern Strategy, is the longest among the former Confederate States. Virginia was the only such state to vote for Gerald Ford over Jimmy Carter in 1976.
AJ- I did very well under the Bush presidency. I took one or two nice vacations every year, I bought a couple of nice new cars, I bought a new boat, I made some nice improvements to my home. It was a good eight years. What will I get from that idiot Obama. Higher taxes to support the worthless welfare class of parasites. More government dregs butting into my life forcing me to do things I don't want to do. Life was good, now it sucks.
StanG....StanG.....StanG......
Obama the Messiah could not help your pal in the very blue Democratic state of NJ.
Nor could he stop the tidal wave that happened in Virg where the Republicans sweep the 3 top state offical positions for the 1st time in a long time and with double digit victories in each one.
The fake Bush housing bubble is one of the big
reasons we are still in a mess. The Bush mess is
still not done unwinding yet.
It is not Obama"s fault and will take many years to fix.
Teamster:
Please get the facts straight:
The roots of housing crisis sprouted during the Clinton administration's politically motivated effort in the 1990s to use Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to expand home ownership. Fannie and Freddie are Government-Sponsored Entities (GSEs) that dominate the U.S. mortgage market. Fannie was created during the New Deal, while Freddie came into being in 1970. Fannie and Freddie have "enjoyed the nearest thing to a license to print money" because they are private companies that offer investors government-backed -- i.e. taxpayer - guarantees against loss. Fannie and Freddie increase the amount of money available for mortgages by buying mortgages on the secondary market, pooling them, then selling them as mortgage-backed securities to investors on the open market.
President Bill Clinton repealed the Glass-Steagall Act which had prevented the coupling of investment banking and lending. To be exact, on November 12, 1999, President Bill Clinton signed into law the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which repealed the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933. One of the effects of the repeal is it allowed commercial and investment banks to consolidate. The repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act is the primary reason that leads to the 2007 subprime mortgage financial crisis.
Banks to big to fail, do your homework.
