The preliminary hearing for a 23-year-old Las Vegas woman accused of drowning her 5-year-old daughter has been rescheduled.

Raven Gibbons is charged with murder in the second degree and child neglect with substantial bodily harm. She was arrested June 30 and booked into the Clark County Detention Center after her daughter, who suffered from severe cerebral palsy, drowned in a bathtub at an apartment complex in the 5300 block of East Craig Road.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the child as D'Amber Myles.

Gibbons is out of custody and appeared in court today beside her attorney, Yilin Zheng. She has no local arrest history, according to police.

Justice of the Peace Natalie Tyrrell scheduled a hearing for 9:30 a.m. Dec. 21 at the request of prosecutor Vicki Monroe.

Monroe asked for the December date to ensure it wouldn't conflict with her other cases.
