Letter to the Editor:
Checking of IDs a manifestation of ‘Bigger Brother’
Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 | 2:01 a.m.
So first we had government as our “Big Brother,” and now we have Steve Wynn as “Bigger Brother.” Who next?
The problem here is that Mr. Wynn changed the rules after the fact. You buy your tickets on Saturday, and get a call on Sunday to ask for the names of all guests coming to show. Somehow this doesn’t sound kosher, and I wonder how legal it is.
And for those going, keep in mind airport security. Can you imagine this scene of 1,500 people coming to the theater at one time, all going through the “security” process?
Thanks, Garth and Steve, but I think this is one concert I’ll pass on — I’ll stay home and listen to CDs.
